Please consider participating in the Siena/Francis House homeless shelter's 15th Annual Walk/Run, to be held at 8 a.m. on Sunday, June 28th at Lake Zorinsky (156th and F streets, by the boat ramps and shelter No. 5). There will be three events to choose from: a 10K Run; a 5K Run; and a 5K Walk. For both of the runs, awards will be given to the overall male and female winners, plus honors for the top contenders in 12 categories, including the Master's Division (over age 40). For the 5K Walk, awards will be given to the overall male and female winners. Runners may use their times in the 10K Run for seeding purposes in Omaha's Corporate Cup. Entry forms are available at the Siena/Francis House (1702 Nicholas Street), at Peak Performance (519 North 78th Street), or online. A PDF of the registration form is also attached to this email. Participants may also register on the day of the race between 7:00 and 7:45 a.m. at the race site. Registration costs are $20 per person (prior to June 19th) and $25 per person (after June 19th), which includes the cost of the event, a Walk/Run t-shirt, and a large variety of refreshments. Proceeds from the Walk/Run will help the Siena/Francis House provide food, shelter and clothing to Omaha's homeless men, women and children.
